Destin, The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.

Destin has a lot to offer an artist. If you are looking for a calming beautiful place to sketch, paint, or photograph  this is a great location.  At the Destin Harbor one can watch the charter boats come and go, bringing  in their catch at the end of the day.  Or if you are searching for a quiet tranquil place, Henderson Beach State Parks runs along the beautiful white beaches of Destin.

Destin host two annual art festivals.  The first is “The Destin Seafood Festival,” hosted by the Destin Chamber of Commerce held in early October.   Then “The Destin Festival of the Arts,” hosted my Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation held in late October.

If music is more your style Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation also hosts a annual free concert series, “Concert in the Park.”  This eight week summer concert series boasts music of  jazz, R&B, Motown, classic, modern rock, and beach music.
